Church Groups Making A Difference

At St. Joseph Catholic School, we are incredibly blessed to have parish groups that commit so much to us.  These groups not only raise money, but they volunteer their time and talents in countless ways.  Our parish and these groups are responsible for strengthening and funding our school.  We are forever grateful.

If you are looking for ways to support the church or school and are unable to do so monetarily, please give one of these groups a try.  Even if you are not wanting to become an official member right away, these groups, and the school, are always in need of good people to donate their time and talents.

Knights of Columbus

Our Mission:  We are Catholic men building a bridge back to faith.  There is much good and necessary work to be done in this world, and that’s what Knights do every day.  We are a Catholic, family, fraternal service organization and we provide support to the school and parish.

Catholic Women Serving

The women of Catholic Women Serving (CWS) all share the same enthusiasm towards the spirit and the goals of St. Joseph’s Church and the community.  We participate in community outreach, fundraisers, and events for the parish and school.  Giving back can be done in so many ways.  We have never been short of giving help where needed and will continue to find projects because we are Catholic Women SERVING!

“Tending the needs of our church community”

Golf Tournament

This major fundraising event is held annually in October at Cobb’s Glenn Country Club to benefit St. Joseph Catholic School and is sponsored by the St. Joseph Men’s Club and the Knights of Columbus Council #8295.  You can join us as a single or bring your own foursome.  All are welcome to enjoy good golf, good food, and good times!

Day of Giving

Are you a parish, school, or nonprofit ministry looking to participate?  Are you a supporter who would like to help fundraise on your favorite ministry’s behalf?  Are you a business or corporate representative who would like to sponsor the #iGiveCatholic Giving Day in your archdiocese?  Are you an ambassador for a participating nonprofit?  Are you an individual looking to give back through donating or volunteering?  Great! Because there’s a place for everyone to get involved during #iGiveCatholic!

St. Joseph Catholic School participates in Many Gifts, One Nation: A Day of Giving to Catholic Schools.  This online giving event allows donors like you to directly support the faith-filled and academically excellent education that is only found in Catholic schools.  This event only runs for 24 hours so when you make your gift, your generosity is made at the same time a national community of thousands are saying thank you to Catholic schools.

Annual Fund

Every Gift is a Blessing

You have the unique opportunity to be an agent of change for St. Joseph Catholic School.  Your investment will directly benefit the students by providing a quality education at an affordable price for all families interested in a Catholic education for their children, regardless of financial circumstances.

Your Gift Counts

Many families are not able to afford full tuition and fees.  St. Joseph Catholic School is committed to providing the promise of a Catholic education for all who seek it.  Tuition assistance is awarded to qualifying families.  Your gift will provide partial or full scholarships for families who cannot meet the cost of sending their children to St. Joseph.

Scholarship Matching Gifts

Businesses often support Catholic schools and many companies offer matching gifts.  Please ask your employer to participate in our Matching Scholarship Fund to provide tuition assistance to students in financial need.

An interest-bearing account has been established with the Diocese of Charleston for the St. Joseph Catholic School Matching Scholarship Fund.

Tax deductible payments should be made out to St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Bequests

You recognize the good and the importance of a Catholic education at St. Joseph, and you have been supporting us for many years. Have you considered a gift to us in your will?

A bequest to St. Joseph Catholic School in your will is simple to do and costs nothing during your lifetime. When your estate is settled after your passing, your gift will be made to St. Joseph Catholic School. If your estate is taxable, it will earn a charitable deduction for the value of your bequest. Your gift will allow us to continue God’s work in offering an excellent Catholic education to the children of Anderson, SC.
